About the program

The Sciences Po-PKU Dual Master’s Degree is a collaborative program on general international studies where students spend the first year at Sciences Po in Paris, and the second year at Peking University in Beijing. The dual degree program is multidisciplinary by nature, which covers political science, international political economy, and emerging subjects like energy and environment in international studies. It emphasizes multi-cultural perspectives on global security and developmental issues and provides a unique opportunity for students to study international affairs at Paris in Europe and Beijing in Asia.

Application

All applicants, including international and those from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan areas of China，need to apply online before March 2, 2014 via:  http://www.sciencespo.fr/psia/content/admissions

Applicants from Mainland China must either have the recommendation eligibility to the SIS or pass the National Entrance Examination for Postgraduate students in China.

Admission

All applications will be reviewed by the joint committee from both Sciences Po and Peking University. Joint admission notification will be sent by Sciences Po on behalf of both institutions by early April, 2014. Upon successful completion of the first year at Sciences Po, an official PKU admission letter and visa form (for international students) will be sent out by early July of 2015.

For international applications, online pre-registration steps with PKU are needed after receiving the joint offer from the program. To complete the pre-registration steps, applicants with offers need to visit

http://www.studyatpku.com/shop/member!index.action?request_locale=en_US, fill out and submit the online registration, then print a hardcopy with attaching a photo by April 28, 2014. An un-refundable fee of RMB 400 yuan is charged online as PKU’s Registration Fee. No registration will be processed without this payment. The printed forms should be delivered to SIS PKU together with THREE 2-inch portrait photo to the address below by May 10, 2014:

Tuition Fee and Funding

For 2014 entry, the tuition fee for year two at PKU is RMB 95,000 yuan. The tuition fee for year one at Sciences Po, please visit http://www.international.sciences-po.fr/en/degree-seeking-programs?q=en/node/100. There are scholarships available at both institutions for students on the double degree program.

Degree Conferral

Upon successful completion of studies at both institutions, students will be conferred Master Degree of Law and Master Degree of International Affairs by PKU and Sciences Po respectively.

Careers

Graduates from the program have been employed all over the world in a wide variety of international organizations, multinational corporations, public entities, and the media sector. Many students have also advanced to doctoral research.
